Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of GL Weather, a weather and typhoon-tracking app for Guam published by Kar Kulture. By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

GL Weather is not an official emergency information source. It presents data from the National Weather Service, the Joint Typhoon Warning Center, NOAA and others, and it reports the island's Condition of Readiness as published. It does not issue warnings and it is not a substitute for official guidance.

During a typhoon or any emergency, follow Guam Homeland Security / Office of Civil Defense and the National Weather Service. If you are in immediate danger, call 911.

Subscriptions

GL Weather requires a paid subscription to use. There is no free tier and no free trial. Subscriptions are offered on a monthly or annual basis, and the current price and billing period are shown in the app before you purchase.

If you would prefer not to subscribe, Guam Life is our free, advertising-supported app and includes current conditions and storm information for Guam.

A GL Weather subscription also removes advertising from Guam Life on the same device, while the subscription is active and both apps are installed. It does not remove advertising from Guam Life on other devices.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, at the then-current price.
You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Promotional pricing, where offered, applies only as described at the time of purchase and does not renew at that price.

Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies; we cannot issue refunds for purchases made through the App Store.

Accuracy of information

Weather information is inherently uncertain, and the app depends on data from third parties that we do not control and cannot verify.

Forecasts, radar, satellite imagery, tides and storm positions are provided as-is by the originating agencies and may be delayed, incomplete, interrupted or wrong.
Predicted storm tracks shown in the app are a model consensus, not the official forecast of the Joint Typhoon Warning Center. They indicate one possible path and should never be read as certainty.
The Condition of Readiness shown is the value most recently published to the app. Always confirm the current COR with official sources.
An internet connection is required for current data. Cached information may be out of date, and the app marks it as such when it is.

Do not rely on this app alone for decisions affecting safety, property, navigation, aviation or livelihood.

Acceptable use

You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not redistribute or resell the data it presents, attempt to gain unauthorised access to its systems, or use it in any way that interferes with its operation for others.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the app, including individual data sources, if a provider withdraws access or a service becomes unreliable. Where a change materially reduces what a paid subscription provides, we will say so.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kar Kulture is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss or damage arising from reliance on information presented in the app. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Third-party data

Weather data is provided by the US National Weather Service, NOAA, the US EPA, the Joint Typhoon Warning Center, the Japan Meteorological Agency and Open-Meteo. Their data is subject to their own terms, and their inclusion does not imply any endorsement of this app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Territory of Guam, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The updated date above will change, and continued use of the app after a change means you accept the revised terms.
